Joseph was a slave who served someone in a foreign land. He later became a employee/manager who was in charge of the IRS and the national Social Services Department. He collected money for this foreign king, and then later helped these foreign people to have houses and food (HUD housing, and Food Boxes! LOL). I'm sure that he reflected God in his work ethics, his language, his behavior, his fair treatment of others, his lifestyle. I find it hard to believe that he compromised on anything he knew to be true or reflective of God. And yet, he didn't run away, he didn't leave on the midnight train, he served with his whole heart, even though his work benefitted a foreign people who didn't believe in the God he served. He made sure that this group of people who believed in every other god (except the God of his fathers) had food, a place to live, hope for the future. He met the needs of humans, without discrimination. While serving the one true God. In total obedience.
Wow. We are Joseph.
Wow, how true. I needed to read that post today. Thanks.
