I knew the minute Immanuel walked in and applied for bellringing, that he was on God's hit list. I don't know how I knew but I did. He was a great bellringer and ended up volunteering and helping in several different areas of Christmas.
He came to church one Sunday and he has been coming every since. He is hungry for the Word. the good thing is that he doesn't just accept what we tell him - he wants to look it up, see it for himself, make sure that it means what we say, and he prays about it.
He lives with family, although he is over 21 - and has been out on his own for a while. Living at home gives him a great opportunity to live out his faith in the face of family and friends, who know you best. I have a feeling that we are quickly becoming family, as well.
