Robbin

Robbin came to work for us and run the Booth Family Center - our family emergency shelter. It's a re-modeled hotel that has operated in this town for over 10 years and now we run it. She relocated, leaving family and friends and her hometown for 40+ years, to set up camp in Grass Valley - looking for whatever it is that God has to give her.

She hopes to go to College for Officers Training at some time in the near future - a couple years - but is saving money and watching her nephew Tucker grow up before she goes. And he is definitely growing up before her very eyes - tall and goodlooking.

Christmas Day, Robbin cooked a turkey dinner at the Booth Family Center - which helped ease some of the loneliness she was feeling with her family all being SOMEPLACE ELSE. She is used to cooking and having everyone over and seeing the grandkids and lots of noise and fun. Two families stayed at the center over the holidays and we enjoyed the meal together, even inviting Connie to join us.

Tucker joined her this week - after staying in P.R. for the football season. He is going to start at the high school here and hopefully make a good transition.

It's been a stressful year for the two of them - his mother died in a car accident, both have relocated to a new house and a new life, Tucker has developed a new relationship with his dad, and other family transitions are taking place as well. Together they are going to forge a new life for themselves here - and we hope that we are part of that!

Welcome, Robbin - and Tucker!
