Adrian met him first. Adrian meets all of them first, it seems. Adrian talked to him for a while and then brought him to church to meet Captain Don . . .Adrian told me privately that he seemed "too nice" at first but he couldn't really understand why the guy was homeless.
The first day he was here, he swept the parking lot and helped move boxes.
Where he spent the night, we weren't sure but he was back the next day, hanging out and helping some more. His background check came out squeaky clean so he went to church with us on Sunday up at camp. He shared a little bit of his story, while soaking his feet in the lake.
By Tuesday, he had a job but still staying . . .someplace. He would eat dinner with Adrian and Jessica and then find his place to sleep.
He is still here and I like him. He has a good spirit and time will tell if God is calling him to be part of the family.
