Emergency Disaster SErvices

So, today was Day One of the Canteen Rally for Del Oro -meaning classes of training for Emergency Disaster Services - training in how to be a "social worker" and take applications and help people. Pretty interesting - met other Army die-hards who want to help others - Maxine Barr, you are one great social worker - and I learned more just by watching you handle our difficult "family" than I have in several years of actually doing it. (the whole role-playing thing, you know - where we have to give the social worker a hard time).

Anyway, tomorrow is Spiritual and Emotional Health care or something like that - I am excited about going. I always learn something good fromthese things . . .

like today, I also got the forms I was looking for - I am going to "copy" these EDS application forms and use them for our homeless program forms. Aahhh, I love the fact that in the Army, everything is "public domain" - well, sort of.

We have another young man living at our house . . .this should be interesting. . . welcome to the family, Addison.
